U.S. WOMEN'S SOCCER 

     In 2019 the U.S. WOMEN'S SOCCER team won the world championship in Women's Soccer. Team member Megan Rapinoe had purple hair during the final game. The soccer team began associated with the subject of equal pay for women but many people in social media pointed out, when revenue for the games was taken into account, the women's team was paid far more than the men's team. The numbers most often quoted are 9% of the revenue for the men's winning team as opposed to 14% of the revenue for the women's team. Taking these numbers into consideration would suggest the women's team was OVERPAID as opposed to underpaid.
